Pink Floyd was one of the first British psychedelia groups, unconstrained by conventional pop formats, they were innovators of progressive rock. After the release of the album ‘Atom Heart Mother’ they went on an extensive supporting tour and when they returned they delved even further into experimentation. This seed is already planted here with the almost 25 minute rendition of Atom Heart Mother that fills the B side of this record.

•Pink Floyd are one of the best-selling music artists of all time, having sold over 250 million records worldwide.•Atom Heart Mother was the band’s first album to reach number 1 in the UK.•The iconic album artwork by Hipgnosis was the first without the band’s name on the cover, just a cow in meadow. The bands prompt was to put “something plain” on the cover.•Stanley Kubrick wanted to use the track Atom Heart Mother in his movie A Clockwork Orange. The group refused permission, primarily because Kubrick was unsure of exactly which pieces of music he wanted and what he wished to do with them
