CROSBY STILLS & NASH – Unplugged In Tokyo: Live At The Budokan Hall 22nd April ’91

In 1968, the coming together of singer songwriters David Crosby, Steven Stills and Graham Nash to form one of the most important “supergroups” was the start of one of the most influential groups of all time. Each member bought something unique to the group, but it was the coming together of their vocals and the harmonies that they created that really elevated them to the top of the folk rock field. This recording captures the trio in fine fettle. They played three shows at the Budokan and the best was broadcast on radio and film for television broadcast. The quality of the recording is absolutely fantastic and the group itself is on top form. Particular highlights include a particularly impassioned take on ‘Almost Cut My Hair’ and a phenomenal version of ‘Love The One You’re With’ which finds Steven Stills in fired up mood. The closing track, ‘Judy Blue Eyes (Suite)’ showcases the trio’s incredible vocal harmonies, leaving no doubt as to why they are such a revered and important group
