Morrison defines himself as a soul singer but the music of Van Morrison has encompassed many genres. His works move between pop, jazz, rock, (Irish) folk, country and big band, just to name a few. The 70’s were the creative peak of his career, with songs like ‘Moondance’, ‘Tupelo Honey’ and ‘Into the Mystic’. But suffering from stage fright, Morrison didn’t tour for years until this one in 1978. No sign of nerves he truly shines. Morrison doesn’t like sticking to a set list and loves to improvise, never performing a song the same way twice.
